May you have

walls for the wind

and a roof for the rain,

and drinks bedside the fire,

laughter to cheer you

and those you love near you,

and all that your heart may desire.

- A Celtic Blessing

Home

Céad míle fáilte!  A hundred thousand welcomes!

You have discovered the home page of Saint Brendan’s Church, a progressive Celtic (KEL-tik) spiritual community.

We embrace a modern expression of the spirituality which resulted from the cross-fertilization of pagan Druidry and Christianity in Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall and other Celtic lands.  We invite you to explore our pages and discover more about us.

Saint Brendan’s Church is a liturgical worshipping community whose spiritual life centers on the celebration of word and sacrament in a Celtic style.  We emphasize God’s immanence and accessibility in all creation and believe in God’s unconditional love and acceptance of all people.  We are non-dogmatic, tolerant, and welcoming of people with non-traditional spiritual beliefs.

We meet for worship each Sunday at 9:45 AM in the old sanctuary of St. James Lutheran Church ELCA, 1602 W. 43rd Street, in the near Northwest Houston area.  Our service lasts for about an hour.

If you’re looking for an intimate, non-proselytizing community of open minded people who affirm the goodness of all creation and the validity of all spiritual paths, then this might be just the place for which you’ve sought.  Come as you are, and visit us soon!
